Images of My Day
I’ve been wandering around my garden with my camera again and have chosen a few images to show you. Spring is a magical time of the year and this year is no different as new growth is appearing everywhere, although it has been very cold and wet so far!!
Epiphyllum Ackermannii Bud
This is a lovely image showing the detail on a developing Epiphyllum Ackermannii bud. You probably already know this is the showpiece in my greenhouse at the moment, and it is only going to get better as there are dozens of new buds forming all over my little beauty.
Epiphyllum Flower
This is a nice image of an Epiphyllum Ackermannii flower. It just goes to show how beautiful nature can be.
Hoya carnosa variegata Buds
Here is a Hoya carnosa variegata umbel forming. You can see the scars from previous flowers on the flower spur, showing that this is a mature specimen that has flowered time and time again. I never get bored of seeing flowers develop!
New Hoya Vine
I was struck by the glossy new growth on this emerging Hoya vine. When night temperatures are a little warmer many of my Hoyas start putting on new growth, and this Hoya pubicalyx ‘Silver Pink’ is no exception.
Stuttgarter Midget
I couldn’t resist taking this picture of one of my Stuttgarter Giant onion sets. It is going to be ready to plant out soon following a couple of weeks in a tray of good quality compost, allowing it to develop a healthy root system which will stand it in good stead when it is outside.
