Today I was proudly inspecting the tomatoes I have grown from seed this year and eying up tomorrow’s lunch. I also came eye to eye with an evil looking fly. I lost plenty of time seeing to my Hoyas but still found time to relax by my pond.
Today I’ve worked hard in the garden, digging and planting. I’ve had a few pleasures too though – I love harvesting food from my garden. I also had a few amphibious visitors come by to keep me company, which was a good excuse to put my spade down for a minute or two.
Lemongrass is one of my favourite herbs. The fresh citrus tang it provides can be a subtle finishing touch to a spicy dish, or the refreshing main flavour to something a little more delicate.
This ‘Images from My Day’ comes from my garden. I’ve had some work to do today, but was rewarded by seeing a load of Chillis and my Strelitzia coming along nicely!
