Hoya curtisii
This is one of the most revered Hoya.
It has a compact, creeping habit that suits a hanging basket very well. It will form a lovely dense mat of foliage, trailing down beautifully when it reaches the edges of the pot.
The leaves are small and heavily flecked. They become quite plump when mature, and are excellent for covering soil in your larger pots.
The flowers are the real showpiece, though.
The insignificant looking, pasty beige flowers emit a powerful citrus fragrance. It really is one of the most amazing scents I have ever experienced.
Hoya curtisii originates from Malaysia and the surrounding areas.
