Hoya verticillata ‘Spearmint’

Hoya verticillata ‘Spearmint’ originates from Indonesia and is a fast growing, relatively woody Hoya.

It has beautiful speckled, succulent foliage and produces light / beige flowers that emit a powerful fragrance.

It is an excellent plant for the conservatory where it will thrive in good light and warmth. It has stronger, woodier growth than many Hoya and can form an impressive structural feature, forming a great ‘frame’ for other Hoya, such as Hoya carnosa and Hoya pubicalyx ‘Silver Pink’

The heady scent produced by the attractive flowers is extremely strong in full bloom.

I always give this Hoya an extra feed during flowering as it must expend so much energy creating the powerful aroma.
