Monkey-Tail Skinks, or Solomon Island Skinks are tree-dwellers. They are entirely herbivorous and rely heavily on Epipremnum auream, or Devil’s Ivy to survive.
Epipremnum aureum – Devil’s Ivy
Epipremnum aureum is a fast growing vine that is perfectly suited to the home.
The vines quickly grow, displaying brightly variegated leaves that lead to the popularity of this plant.
Epipremnum aureum can grow to over 2 metres tall in the home, but reaches many times this in nature.
Easy to care for, Epipremnum aureum does best in indirect light, with leaves getting scorched in direct light. It is similar to Hoyas in its light requirements.
The watering regime is also similar to Hoyas but allow the compost to nearly dry out completely between waterings, and feed occasionally during warmer periods with weak fertiliser.
