As a Leaf-Freak, this is one of my favourites. It has excellent foliage and is a strong grower. I have it in an orchid pot, with it trailing nicely over the edges where it has grown on.
Hoya Mathilde is not actually this amazing plants’ official name. Hoya Mathilde is the result of crossing Hoya carnosa with Hoya serpens and technically should be known as Hoya carnosa var. carnosa x Hoya serpens.
It is an easy flowering scented Hoya, with attractive fleshy leaves. As you can see, they are quite succulent and sprinkled with grey / silver flecks.
Hoya Mathilde is definitely one of the most desirable Hoyas. I have not had it long enough to see it flower, but it is coming along very nicely, with plenty of new growth.
